For those looking to explore China and marvel at 100% natural beauty, you must head to the Songpan district in the northern Sichuan region, specifically to Huanglong.
This site has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. The national park, with its incredible turquoise water basins, seems to be suspended at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters

The Huanglong area features many peaks covered in eternal snow. In addition to its timeless glaciers, the area boasts a wide variety of forest ecosystems, spectacular karst formations, large waterfalls, and hot springs.
Covering nearly 60,000 hectares, this site is both a geological and physical wonder. Beyond its forests and diverse wildlife, it’s the waterfalls, terraces, travertine lakes, and limestone outcrops that truly catch the eye. The Huanglong Valley is quite compact, surrounded by three towering peaks, with a station at the entrance to control access. Outside of the marked areas, you’ll often encounter Tibetan monks walking with their herds.

If we were to translate “Huanglong,” it would be “Valley of the Yellow Dragon” due to the valley’s resemblance to this sacred animal when viewed from above. The Huanglong Valley is composed of seven valleys that span over 1,300 km².
One of the most impressive areas is certainly Huanglong Valley itself, often referred to as the “eye of the dragon,” which offers the most beautiful limestone basins. The water here shifts from turquoise blue to emerald green, creating a spectacular, almost surreal view. Some also call it the Huanglong Five Color Pond.
Huanglong is simply an unforgettable place, a supernatural setting that leaves everyone who visits in awe. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Huanglong is simply an unforgettable place , a supernatural setting and all those who have come so far exclaim in the same way: it is an incredible chance to see this in your life!
